Update – Obama Updates Mosque Support
Just an update on the story below. In remarks today, the President said he was commenting on the right of freedom of religion, when he announced last night that he supported the right of members of the Islamic faith to build a mosque near Ground Zero.
Today he said he was “not commenting on the wisdom of the project.”

Seems like Obama read an opinion poll and realized he is on the wrong side of everything the people wamt. He butted into Cambridge to tell police they were wrong, fired Shirly Sherrod with incomplete information, trys to tell Arizona how to police illegal aliens, etc,etc, He can’t help himself when it come to butting into states rights. Now he tried to opine on mosque and it is backfiring big time, people who “cling to their guns and relegion” and happen to be fighting two wars for him, have had enough.

By the way Larry, you misquoted my mom about Obama not having cajones with respect to the mosque (here reference was about illegal alien immigrants). I’m worried that this quick reverse/shuffle off to buffalo might be some kind of ploy to take the country’s mind off of something else. ConEd will likely not vote to give its support in building the mosque and they own half the building. Does Obama know something bad is going to happen? Is the economy about to tailspin? Are we going open up a new theater of war?
The Constitution guarantees Muslims the right to worship as they please. Unless the area where they want to build is zoned residential or something, it’s a simple First Amendment issue. But, just because you have the right to do something doesn’t mean you should do it. Still, Dubya was clear that we’re not at war with Islam. Why have so many people forgotten that?

Obama’s daughter got a hole in one in miniature golf! she went to the Gulf to play golf! The family went swiming and came out of the water covered in oil, what a mess, not very presidential.
