The Beatles are the most over-rated rock and roll band in the history of Rock music. After the boomers are gone the Beatles will receed to their appropriate place in musical history. Robert Johnson invented rock music and Mick Jagger has the decency to credit him. The Beatles were derivative and stars as a result of Ameican promoters telling a captive televison audience this is what’s good. Their timing was lucky becasue it caught the boomers at a rebellious moment in time and at an impressionable age. In the modern era of media where consumers decide what’s good instead of Ed Sullivan et al, there would be no Beatles and fawning fans who raise their musical mediocrity to that of some high art form. Lennon’s assination just increased the legend. He was a pot headed anti-American and a socialist full of his own hypocritical crap that passed as insight and wisdom to the ignorant boomer masses. Why were the Beatles such pigish tax evaders if they cared so much about their fellow citizens? Give me a break!

Mayor Nutter called the snow plow operators “snow fighters”. Has he been attending the Larry Kane school of communication? I’ve heard of fire fighters amd crime fighters but I’ve never heard of snow fighters.
