Is Palin Curing A Bored Public? – And the Missing Health Care Answers That Could Cost You Plenty

Congress is still not answering the important questions about health care reform, so I would suggest you seek answers soon.

Both the Congressional budget office and the director of Medicare oversight see serious problems in the plan. How, for example, will the health care industry handle the influx of up to 36 million people into the system? Pennsylvania barely has enough doctors to handle the load right now! The Medicare and Medicaid oversight office fears that some doctors may turn away public option patients in favor of those with private plans.

Republicans don’t have many alternatives, but they sure have some good points in insisting on answers to these questions.

PALIN POWER?

For all the concern and hysteria about Sarah Palin actually trying for the White House, Americans are watching her on TV in record numbers. Are we that bored? I mean, she is an interesting story, but she sounds like a broken record.  Maybe it’s our fault. Or John McCain’s. The Newsweek cover was absurd. I mean, Palin is getting the same kind of attention as the Gosselin’s.  It is a circus. But we are eating it up. I think we are bored.

DREDGE THE RIVER?

New Jersey and Delaware are fighting in court to stop the dredging of the Delaware to keep the port competitive. Delaware should pull out of the court battle immediately. The state is in no position to look the other way at the jobs that will be created by the Pennsylvania dredging plan. Delaware is losing jobs rapidly, and New Jersey also needs the economic boost.

PEDAL POWER-

Philadelphia City Council has ok’d the use of licensed pedicabs on the city’s streets. Good move! During the hectic Democratic Convention in Denver last year, I got around very well on the bike cabs. They are fast. “green”, and they don’t reek of cigarette smoke like many Philadelphia taxi cabs.

I awake and what to wondering eyes should appear but a new blog number and 4 snappy new mini-blogs. Unlike the mini-bottles of booze on the airplanes that have just the amount of alcohol necessary these mini-blogs fall far short again. Short on content. Short on conviction. Short on opinion. I bet Mrs Larry would confide that Larry generally comes up short these days. After 2 weeks in blog hell we would have expected a much better effort. Much better.
Pedicabs. Now there is a pressing issue. Sonny Lee will be happy for your support. You will open up that whole etnic can of worms. Did you really need to go there Larry? I think not. Stupid.
Can’t believe you dredged up the dredging issue again. Do you own shipping stocks? What other possible interest could you have? Did you buy shipping stock when Jim Cramer advised on Thursday? Let this one sink to the bottom of the Delaware Larry. No one cares. The only economic impact is for the guys with dredging boats.
The least of the Government’s and both parties’ concern is not enough doctors to serve the illegal aliens. It’s about getting a bill through to save Barack’s presidency fot the Dems. It’s about blocking Govt run healthcare for the GOP. The 31M illegals have been and will continue to be collateral damage. You have your cushy VIP insurance with CN8. You won’t be affected until your show gets cancelled. No one cares about lack of medical treatment resources. It is strictly politically motivated. This is a bad bill and bad for Americans. The mere majority numbers for the Dems indicates that some sort of compromise bill will get approved in January-February. That will be the end of healthcare in America as we know it. It will be sad day for America. A sad day indeed.
Finally yet another shor at Sarah Palin. Have you know shame Larry? Comparing interest in her with interest in America’s Dysfunctional Family the Gosselins? Shame on you. Shame on you. Fact remains that Sarah Palin is a nonfactor for 2012 unless the GOP concedes a 2nd term to Barack. Palin is taking a leadership role and attacking the socialistic agenda of Barack. No one else has done that including John McCain. The rest of the GOP hopefuls for 2012 are lying low. Hiding in the weeds. Waiting for the right time to strike. Like a cobra. Quick and deadly. Biding time.

Has anyone watched the new ABC show V? See a stunning parallel to Washington DC? Substitute Barack’s big ear image for the tall thin alien girl Anna. “We’ve come to save you.” “We mean no harm.”
They have come to control you. They are the real V. It all starts with healthcare. Next is energy.
When strangers from another galaxy show up in a big spaceship arrive what good can come of it? When strangers from another political galaxy show up in a majority what good can come of it?
“Don’t be frightened. We mean no harm.”

Larry, you must be kidding. No one cares about illegal aliens. We liberals pretend to care about them but really they are merely votes we can can on. If we make it appear we have their interests at heart, that is good enough.

Forget Sonny Lee, I get dissed here weekly. If not by Leisure Suit Larry by his esteemed bloggers. I’m tired of all the negativity. I thought the running suit photo would enhance my appeal. Apparently not I’m finding on a daily basis. Men are attracted to my body but not my mind. Women don’t take me seriously. They view me as a desperate housewife. I’m the freaking Governor of the biggest freaking state in the Union. Well I was until I quit. Leave me alone. In 2012 I will have my own talkshow on Oprah’s new network. Sassy Sarah will be doing the dissing then!

Larry, if you watched 60 minutes tonight you’d
have had a little more insight for your heatlh
care comments. Its about rationing end of life
care, $50 billion per year on just the last two
months. Americans don’t have to pay it out of their
own pocket. They sit around the hospital bed and
decide to have all kinds of “free procedures”,
but if they had to pay a dime out of their inheriance
If faced with a bill they’d have to pay, there
would be a very candid discussion about the best
way to die. Americans need to learn to die, and if
they want above and beyond care, then save up
and pay for it, and if you don’t have the money
Or you want your kids to get it, then you learn to
accept that your life will end a few months
Sooner, its that simple. We need death panels now,
If you don’t like it then make a new co-pay of say
50 percent of medicare or medicade, there would
Be a whole new kind of cost effeciecy right away.

  7. VP Joe from Scranton
    November 23rd, 2009 | 7:09 am

Waiting for the 7:01. I saw that 60 Minutes piece last night as well. Generally I only catch the 1st 5 minutes of 80 Minutes after a football game. They are notorious for doing hatchet jobs on people, companies and places. I stopped watching 20 years ago. Their pompous and condescending style turns me off. It often reminds me of some of the bloggers here. When they control what gets editted and what goes on how can you take them seriously as a credible source?
It was interesting that they went rogue and did not support the President and healthcare last night. Their show on not unnecessarily stretching out seniors’ lives and saving billions in Medicare was very unlike the normal close ranks approach by CBS News. Starting with the top and mirrored by that former cheerleader twit Katie Couric CBS News has been squarely behind Barack since the Iowa Caucuses. One could argue that Couric’s personality assassination of Sarah Palin was the end of the McCain/Palin ticket. CBS has been front and center with support for the private option healthcare plan since day one. Why has 60 Minutes gone rogue? Is it the imminent threat of deathpanels for their 70 something has-been commentators? Is it that they see the fallacy of the deathpanel approach? Is it that they actually have a heart? Is it that their researchers did the story and 78 year old Morley Safer merely read the teleprompter? (Sound familiar?)
In any case it is a bad bill that is bad for America. There is more dissent than agreement with the plan. It should have been DOA on arrival in the Senate. Now Grandma will be DOA at the bill’s signature by Barack. Sad. Very sad.
    Go Eagles.

Health care isn’t that complicated Mr. Kane. As it stands people who have no insurance just drag themselves into the hospital emergency room, where they cannot be denied treatment. The rest of us who have private insurance pay for that because hospitals have to make up that money somewhere. So we are already paying for those 36,000,000 to get health care.

In full disclosure I must admit that on 9/10/09 I guaranteed that healthcare would pass both sides of Congress by Thanksgiving. Does not look like that will happen. Thank goodness for that. Bad bill. Bad for America. Good for socialists. Good for illegal aliens. Bad for deficit. Enough said.
I did not comment on my visit to The Daily Show with John Stewart. John is a nice enough guy but hoping to catch old VP Joe in a characteristic gaffe or 2 or 3. I was on to him. Barack had me with an image consultant and a staffer all that day telling me what I should not and could not say. I followed my guidelines to the T. I thought I had slipped when I revealed that we were meeting resistance on the healthcare bill. Everyone laughed. John said “Oh really”. VP Joe said a funny. HeHeHe.
Well I’m in a good mood this week. Thanksgiving. Family. 4 day weekend. No Barack. No one telling me what to do except Jill. No one telling me what to say or not to say. She will only be a factor in 2012 if she refuses to go away and get out of the way.

Does Larry Kane not understand what going

Lord Abbot’s fears only play into the hands of Adam Lampart. Adam wants controversy to aid him in getting more media coverage. The more coverage from the MSM the more well known he becomes. The more well known he becomes the greater the chance that he might sell his records. The more records he sells the bigger bank account he amasses. Is that the slippery slope Lord Abbot is referring to?
If Adam Lampart had talent he wouldn’t have to simulate BJs on stage with another performer and needn’t lock lips with his boyfriend. The only slippery slope Adam has to deal with is the one between his legs and perched at his back door. The one marked “NO EXIT”

I hope President Obama didn’t overdo it last night at his big shindig. I mean Thankgiving is tomorrow and I’m sure the Whithe House will be serving up another big dinner. Looking at Michelle it seems she hasn’t missed too many meals lately, and man that dress of hers just screamed “what deficit”. The symbolic nature of having the dinner in a tent escaped even the most liberal of liberals. Trying to be all things to all people will eventually backfire on Obama. You can fool half of the people in one election and 98% of the people who have the same skin color in one election, but you’re not going to fool the rest of us in the next election unless you actually prove that you can do more than give dinners and speeches.

Now he shows up at America’s premier military institution to give his support the troops speach? Gag me with a spoon. This lily livered pacifist wants out of Iraq and Afghanistan in the worst way. He ran on that principle. He bashed Bush and Cheney for the wars. He bashed Hillary for voting for the war. Now he supports the troops and General McCrystal? He got boxed into a corner by a smart General. If he says no, he is not supporting the troops. His propped up image suffers an even bigger beating. What a fraud. Good for General McCrystal! The Inquirer on Sunday wrote a review about a book that rejected the death penalty. Some guy lost his son to a pedaphile and was eaten alive with hatred and wanted this scum bag put to death. Later he realized it was just so much wasted energy trying to put the killer of his son to sleep. If our society could put killers like the one who took the lives of four cops this past weekend to death on a timely basis maybe then we could have some justice ….. and get some sleep of our own.

I would like to dispel the rumor that Barack is considering dumping me as VP in 2012 for Hillary. If I’m not on the ticket it’s because I’ve gone rogue and I’m on my own campaign for President. I will need to ditch this turkey in 2010 after the midterm elections. It will be clear by then that he is not getting re-elected. He’ll be roadkill for 2 more years. Let Hillary become collateral damage. Not me. Sure I could pull an Alexander Haig and reassure the American people that I’m in charge but how did that work for Al? No it’s best for me to breakaway and start the campaign with Beau as my sidekick. I’ll claim I’m leaving for family reasons. God knows I’ve got family reasons.
Hey jack has Hillary promised you a Cabinet position if she gets elected? Secretary of the Interior? Would you have to wear a pants suit? Would that cut down on your riding time? How do you know chelsea is a wildcat? Why don’t you use capitals?
Larry your constituency is calling you out on this old blog thingy because you need to keep it fresh. It is bad enough that your topics are bland and moribund. Eh. Mike Huckabee. He was the next great communicator. So what if he doesn’t believe in evolution. He’s a Christian. That’s why he let the Washington cop killer out of jail. Lee Atwater invented the revolving door metaphor. That will come into play again. Stupid Christians and that stuff they believe about forgiveness. See why you should burn them at the stake (except for Scooter)? Mike Huckabee killed four cops.

Clemmons, the cop killer, got 108 years. Huckabee commuted his sentence and freed him from jail to kill again. Mitt Romney instituted socialized medicine in Massachusetts. Who will lead the GOP? I’d do it in a pacemaker regulated heartbeat. Full pardon for Scooter, too.

We all just need to get a grip. I’m sure Larry is out there doing his best to come up with new subject matter (which lasts about 10 minutes). Adam Lampart is old news (already) and Huckabee will eventually join a band and play Holiday Inns throughout the south. Chelsea must be a tiger in bed because that face of hers still makes me cringe when I see it.
Tonight’s the night when we see the real Obama. That West Point location was pure genius (probably Emanuel’s idea). As Obama looks out to his audience of gray suited cadets and surrounded by military brass and a few cadets of color he will unleash his master plan for winning the war in Afghanistan. This will not be a nation building operation and I doubt that Osama Bin Laden will be mentioned at all. He will also refrain from the use of the word “TERRROR” but he will mention getting our troops home, about a 100 times. As for “winning” this war, there will be little in the way of details or how we are going to approach the next few years. His emphasis will be on education. Educating the Afghans to raise their own army and police force. When that is accomplished (to a degree)(win lose or draw) he’ll be pulling our troops out of there faster than you can say “Obama/Clinton in 2012″

    Ode to Sarah Palin

One one summer’s day, Sun was shinin’ fine,
The lady love of old Dick Cheney
Was hangin’ clothes on the line
In her back yard, and weepin’ hard.
    She married a B&O brakeman
That took and throwed her down,
    Bellerin’ like a prune-fed calf
With a big gang hanging round
And to that crowd, she hollered loud

Won’t you come home, Dick Cheney
    Won’t you come home?
She moans the whole day long.
    I’ll do the cookin’, darling
    I’ll pay the rent,
    I know I’ve done you wrong;
    ‘Member that rainy evening that
    I threw you out,
With nothing but a fine-tooth comb?
    I know I’m to blame,
    Well, ain’t that a shame
Dick Cheney won’t you please come home.

    Dick drove by that door
    In an automobile,
A great big diamond, coach and footman
    Hear that lady squeal.
He’s all alone I heard her groan.
    She hollered through the door
    Dick Cheney, is you sore?
Stop a minute, listen to me
Won’t I see you no more?
    Dick winks his eye
    As he heard her cry

I agree with an earlier blogger that Joe has lived past his usefullness. Hillary in Africa was dynamite. (the channeling her husband line and her utter resentment was pure gold). Add that to the fact she’s doing a good job flying around the globe. Obama is only now being found out what an inexperienced ruler that he is. Barack was brillant against the backdrop of America’s finest and best military academy. He looked confident and commander-like reading his 45 minute speech off the teleprompter. He delivered the somber speech with great vigor and conviction. The problem? Bad plan. Counting on the Afghans and Pakistanis to take over and root out terrorists is as naive as telling a teenager not to have a party when you are going out of town. Telling the enemy your timetable is 18 months until withdrawl is like playing a prevent defense for the entire 2nd half of a football game. This guy is so determined to please everyone that he pleases no one. Buck up big guy. Be the Commander in Chief. Grow some nads. You wouldn’t see Joe Biden pussyfooting around and choosing his words so carefully. I’d be very much like Patton up there in chaps with a revolver against the backdrop of a giant American flag. When it came right down to it in my heart of hearts I wanted to be moved by Mr. Obama’s speech last night. I was waiting for that lump in my throat to appear after seeing all those young warriors sitting out in the audience, waiting for their commander and chief (lapel flag in place) to begin telling them how important their sacrifice to our country was. The only thing Mr. Obama forgot to do was salute the cadets as he walked on stage. Any how he didn’t and I never did get choked up or felt an ounce of patriotic adreniline running through me. It was as some one noted, a professorial lecture without having to take notes. I kept watching just to see if he would mention the word terror. He did to my surprise. Twice, well almost twice. The first time he said the word he sorta mumbled it as if he could not read the telepromter correctly. But the second time, I have to give him credit. It was loud and clear. It was well into his speech and by then half the cadets were nodding off. I’m sure half the nation was nodding off too or tuning into Family Guy. Isn’t that show on 24/7?

Hello you local yokels. It’s me Chris the amazing mouthpiece for the left. I tried to save Obama from the storm of critisism for last night’s speech but got burned myself. Ouch!!! I really am an asshole. “Meeting on the enemy’s turf”….. boy was that the wrong thing to say. Even Larry wouldn’t be that dumb. Actually Larry wouldn’t say anything more harsh than “Obama’s performance last night was met with a stoic reception”,or something like that. Never criticize and never ever criticize one of you own. That’s Larry’s motto. So after putting my foot in my mouth I called up Joe Biden and asked him if we could go out and knock a few down. He said he was sorry but would take a rain check. He was in the middle of listening to Tiger Woods’ message left to one of his girl friends. Man, talk about the enemy’s turf. Can’t trust your girfriend, can’t trust your other girlfriend I guess.

Waiting for the 7:01. Waiting for public opinion to change. Sounds like the honeymoon is finally over for Barack. It has been 23 months since the feel good speeches in Iowa before the caucuses. It has been 21 months since the major TV networks put a liplock on Barack. It’s been 16 months since the convention closing speech at Mile High Stadium. It’s been 13 months since his mandate landslide victory. It’s been 11 months since his inauguration graced the streets of Washington DC. It’s been 9 months since Congress rushed through Stimulus and TARP bill. It’s been 7 months since the drums began to beat for healthcare. It’s been 23 months since he promised to extract us from Iraq and win in Afghanistan. It has been 90 days since General McCrystal asked for 40K more troops in Afghanistan. Finally the party is over. The onion is being peeled back. The savior is exposed. The emperior has no clothes. The press is now forced to report on the complete lack of results. A completely failed presidency. Someone in so far over their head that Tom Cruise probably could have done a better job as President. Completely sad but completely predictable. Both parties realize it. Now each has to figure out a way to pick up the pieces and work around the lame duck President. Not like rats jumping off a sinking ship but like good soldiers continuing the fight once their leader has been shot. With the press starting to put more scrutiny on Barack everyone will start to distance themselves from him and his policies like a quarantined H1N1 victim.
It was not bad enough that Barack “entered the enemy camp” by delivering his lame speech in the hallowed halls of West Point. He delivers a teleprompter performance that lacked details and put the cadets to sleep. He announces the end of a surge before it even begins. The end coincides with his re-election. Coincidence? I think not. Fraud and politically motivated? I think so. Who is advising this jamoke anyway? Michael Jackson via Ouija board?
How much longer until the rumors of Impeachment start? That would put me in the Oval Office. I better start preparing for this inevitability. Finally after 37 years of toiling in Congress I get my due. Hail VP Joe from Scranton. Hell I’ll be a regular on The Daily Show with John Stewart.

They may be shocked at what they find. I think I’ll double order the wood! And double order my Viagra at the same time.
Rumors are leaking out about my dissenting to the new surge strategy in Afghanistan. Let me set the record straight. I was against the surge from the moment Gen McCrystal brought it up. Send more troops into that rat hole? I think not. I argued with Barack repeatedly but in the end he felt like he was boxed into a corner by the cagey McCrystal. I got him to announce a timetable for withdrawl and reduce the numbers down to 30K soldiers. I feel I won this debate despite the fact that we are still sending more soldiers. Now I’m being a good soldier and supporting Barack’s decision even though I know he’s dead wrong. I’m on thin ice here. I may get bounced in 2012. Imagine that. The 1st VP from Scranton bounced.

Ayatollah you failed in your one job of the day last night. How hard is it to keep us posted on how old this blog topic is? Were you too busy watching NUM3ERS last night? Speaking of having one job and failing miserably how about Barack. He’s gone into the bunker mode for the holidays. Michelle has convinced him he’s done enough damage for 2009 and that 2010 will be a better year. Can’t be any worse I guess. Well at least until midterm elections. It might get very bad then but that’s not until November. Until then eat drink and be merry on the US taxpayers. See the world. Dabble in world politics. Just stay out of domestic issues. Don’t worry the Clintons have your back. Right. What a disappointment this jamoke has been to everyone. Major disappointment. Except to Rush Limbaugh of course.
Speaking of major black disappointments we haven’t spoken about Tiger Woods here yet. We have grown to expect this type of lurid behavior from NBA and NFL players. Even some MLB players. Not PGA players. John Daly is an embarrassing drunk. Phil Mickelso chokes. But succombing to the allure of cheap groupies, tramps and thieves. That is below tour members. Right? Anyone else but Tiger? More money than God. Trophy wife. Best player in the world. What’s up with the bimbo in every city? Isn’t he better than that? Apparently not.
