Take The Bait For Race And We Are All In Trouble

The dustup between Professor Gates and Police Officer Crowley in Cambridge was another flashpoint for race baiters around the country, and President Obama made a mistake by getting involved, offering his opinion that  the police acted stupidly. By now, he, you and I know that there are no winners in race debates, because there are so many racists that any detour from politically correct behavior gives gutless race haters on all sides of the divide the ammunition they need to stir up more hate.

The President tried to patch things up by wisely calling the prof and the cop and blessing both with his usual expertise, hoping to put an end to the new racial stirrings that are arising over the calamity in Cambridge,

It’s been a sour week. How about those nabobs of nastiness who are still, without evidence, trying to prove that the President was not born in Hawaii. Give it up! It’s getting sickening already.

Judging by the responses to the swim club controversy, things are still bad out there. I can’t believe the people who are trying to make excuses for the clueless swim club leadership. I can’t believe the people who are blaming the campers for the problem. Gimme a break! I’m sick of the hate that exists in our society, much of it spawned by the broadcasters who use their radio and TV platform to play the race card.

The FCC worries about the exposure of Janet Jackson’s nipple, but it cares not about the indecency of radio talkers who subtely turn everything into a battle against minorities.

I’m angry about the fact that there’s too many people with hate in  their hearts in this country, and not enough respect for others.

And for some of the moronic racists who write here and to other blogs, read a book, find a shrink, get a life.

Larry the bleeding heart liberal again takes the political correct side on all topics du jour. What a shocker.
First of all, would the President have taken such a stand if the Professor had been white? Not likely. He immediately assumed discrimination without even checking out the facts. He made a stupid comment before checking out the facts. After it blows up in his face, he thinks he can reconcile with both sides by inviting them to the White House for a 3 way kiss and makeup. Afterall, he knows better than everyone else…
I wonder what Larry Kane’s reaction would have been if he were sitting around the pool at his country club, sipping his umbrella drink and reading his favorite book and out of no where, suddenly 60 kids show up at the pool. I doubt you would have been buying them Cokes and inviting them back to the house for so’mores. Oh that’s right, you belong to a country club. This was a private swim club. My mistake…
Let’s all sit around the campfire and sing Kumbayah. Oh wait that’s not pc because it includes the words “oh my Lord”.
I think you need to get a life Larry. At least a clue…

To be fair to Larry, at least he found some fault with Obama’s actions, a day that will live in infamy!

However, he has no courage to address the race husling industry, which is as vile and obcense as a Klansman with a radio talk show. Race politics has grown like topsy in this country and to have a black president weighing in with his pre judged “San Fancisco Sensibility” will finally push the pendulum back toward reasaonble voices being able to have an honest debate.

Unfortuanly for Obmama, he revealed a grave weakness of being a know-it-all about police matters in a small town while trying to convince Americans he knows it all about healt care reform and the bill should just be signed and pushed through and to trust that he knows best and has every correct answer. Healt Care will be his Waterloo, but its failure will come quicker as Americans ask themselves; does this man know it all, or does he just pretend to without full information like in Cambridge? Will doctors or insures find that Obama believes they “act Stupidly” sometimes so he already decided how to treat them and to correct for that? The Honeymoon is over for Obama. As usual Larry Kane plays it safe and falls back on his guilty liberal ideas rather than open up a new dialogue and cease a teaching moment that Obama created. Larry is the one that needs to get a life, he cries racist to excuse himself from debating facts.

Larry, were you ever an investigative reporter or just a talking head reading the news? It is clear to me that the kids in the swimming pool fracas were lying and obviously coached by the adults involved. Their vocabulary was NOT age appropriate at all and they were glancing, during televised interviews for direction. Further, why were the televised interviews done at the gate of Girard College which had nothing to do with the story. Not so incidentally, notice that Girard is not black in an overwhelming majority. Larry, I am disappointed in your screed on the Skippy Gates and Barry Obama messages.

  5. Joseph McGrory
    July 25th, 2009 | 10:44 am

My error: GIRARD COLLEGE IS OVERWHELMINGLY BLACK….the will of the founder was overturned and the whites decided they wanted no part of it from then on. How do you explain that? I don’t want to bring up this past except to point out a reality.

What’s deplorable Larry is that the race card gets played for every disappointment suffered by Blacks in life…It’s old and stale. You’ve simplified this by taking PNI’s standard position…any accusation of racism is accepted as fact.

You posters are all idiots. He was arrested for in HIS OWN HOME for NOTHING. He was asked a question that I’m sure he wished had not been asked. At least he spoke honestly. Other Jim, you have no idea what Obama would have said if the person had been arrested was white. I think he probably would have said the same thing about it being a stupid arrest. But since IT IS A HYPOTHETICAL, we really don’t know. I can also assume that he wouldn’t have been arrested if he were white, which is just as valid as you saying that Obama wouldn’t have said anything if Gates were white. We don’t know. The only thing I do know is that you seem to be a racist looking to get angry.

Stop Mike! We are evaluating facts, and none of the above posters make racist commnets, you’re just playing the race card, as Larry Kane often does, when he hears things that contradict his annointed view of how we are supposed to talk about race, he calls writers moronic racsist, with no basis in fact. He also throws around the anti-semitic label quite liberally, to the point where he is viewed as the potically correct former news achor who cries wolf and is not taken seriously by virtually anyone who reads his work.

If he had actual fans who beleived in what he wrote they would post here once in a while don’t you think? Maybe 50% of the posters would echo his keen observations? It doesnt happen, virtually no one who writes here is ever in agreeemnet with Larry’s opinions, it’s very odd, or LArry is very wrong about most issues he write about.

Notice the way liberals resort to name calling when they dont get their way. Obama calls a distuished policeman stupid, Larry Kane calls writers on his blog “moronic racists”. Both are term of derision reserved for metally challeged people; they were once called, stupid, moron, idiot, retard etc. However, our politcally correct president and the newcaster syncophant Larry Kane sling these offensive terms around the way David Duke uses the N-word. Yet these men are so deluded and and high on the smell of their own gas they can’t even see how far out of step they are with the mainstream of America.

Gates was trying to have a “Rosa Parks” moment and it failed miserably. Obama was not smart enough not to take the race bait, he took it hook like and sinker. Black racism is the only race baiting that occured Gates’ pathetic stunt, and it has sidetracked the nation from much more important business.

Yea Brett, the radio talkers should shut their F-ing Cake Holes and accept the wisdom of the left. These radio talkers were not elected and just becasue millions of reasonable people listen to them to hear the other side of issues, the FCC should use government power to censor and/or shut them down. The FCC should also allow more female nipples on prime time TV, because that’s what Larry Kane wants Americans to look at so they don’t stop and think how wrong headed his ideas are.

John Fisher or whoever you are it scares me to think that people actually think this way. You must be an Ivy League deep thinker like the Prez. You guys never have worked a day in your life but think you know what is best for the rest of us – like Robert McNamara and so many more political elite – the Prez stumbles and bumbles through domestic and foreign policy – but it’s okay because he can write a coherent speach and read a teleprompter. That’s important. It’s like on-the-job traning for a new hire. He’s warming up to Iran. He’s ignoring North Korea. He’s alienating UK. He’s evacuating Iraq. He’s given up on Bin Laden. He’s nationalizing our largest corporations. He’s planning to have the government run healthcare. Tell me when to stop. Mixed signals. False starts. Talking out of both sides of his mouth. As much as it pains me to say it Captain Crunch maybe right about Hillary. Personally I’m just bidding my time. Biden and Rendell in 2012! Now that’s a ticket Larry can get behind.

I heard a white woman on TV today refer to Obama’s inate arrogance. It]s something he has kept under wraps until the “stupidity” dust up and his attempt to fillabuster a health care bill that nobody underdstands. It is arrogant to think at 47, with no experience in health care you know best and can dictate the intricacies of a trillion dollar reform before Labor Day. Barrack has “jumped the shark” with his health care and racial dialogue, it’s down hill from here. Eric Kantor will lead a revolt that will get the Congress to wake up and represent the people, rather than follow the elitist dogma of an inately arrogant president. Some thought Bush was arrogant, he was in a Texas cowboy kind of way, Obama is worse in a Ivy League Chardonaay sipping kind of way.

This whole idea of Obama, Gates, and Crowley “having a beer” is the most sexist and exclusionary thing I have ever heard of. Two black men and a white guy drinking beer to solve racism at the exlclsuion of 50% of the American people- WOMAN- is a very bad idea! Are they going to high five, fist bump and call each other dude afterward? Where is the diversity in this so called racial reconciliation?

Gates doesn’t care about woman, he care about the diversity industry from which he makes his living and is lauded as a genius. Crowley said, based on the crude street language Gates used he was surprised he was even an educated man. Apparently there are two sides of professor Gates, and its time the American people learn more about his hidden agenda.

Life is different when your parents, as a matter of survival, cannot teach you that The Policeman is Your Friend. Life is different when you can’t assume that ‘That doesn’t happen to innocent people,’ for values of ‘that’ ranging from being pushed around for no cause by a cop to being arrested to being shot on your own doorstep by one (in the case of Shem Walker, one not even in uniform—any thug can shout ‘Freese, Police!’).

Gates is a not a race man and has spoken out favorably

I’m here at Wilmington Station early this morning because I could not sleep last night. I could not sleep last night because I’m part of the cabal that is trying to destroy the healthcare system in the US. We have the best healthcare system in the world because it is a free market enterprise and lots of people make a lot of money. The majority of hard working Americans enjoy the benefits of this system. There are some that do not work or that have part time or low paying jobs that do not get the benefits of healthcare. Clearly the government should help these folks get a pooled coverage they can afford. Why must we upset the applecart and change everyone’s heathcare to accommodate the lowest common denominator? Why must everyone suffer with a substandard system run by the government under the guise of saving costs and helping people? It really is like throwing the baby out with the bath water. Of course those of us in Washington won’t actually have to use the plan. We make enough and are influential enough that we’ll be able to continue to see our own doctors and seek out the best professional care. My neighbors who all do pretty well may have to go to government clinics with doctors that graduated with D averages from bogus medical schools in the Caribbean that are satisfied making $100K per year and treating hundreds of patients a day. This does not seem like an improvement to me. It sounds more like were are trying to level the playing field for everyone. Once there is no longer an incentive to work hard and succeed we will have achieved our socialistic goal. A communistic state where the government makes all your decisions for you. I for one can not wait. I make so many bad decisions on my own.

We have a health care system which is inadeqate, too expensive, draining our resources, working to bankrupt this country with even more devastating results.

A healthy nation is a productive nation. If resources/insurance is no longer available/obtainable, as happens more each day, the government must step in.

Obviously, when it comes to your money or your life, most people will opt for life When their money is gone, forget it!!!

The markets don’t/won’t work where such blackmail runs rampant. As for delays in service, they already exist. Quality of care, no matter what the system, is diminished only by what devotion people have to their jobs. There is nothing in the bill which says you will not have access to your own doctor.

As I understand it, Michael Jackson paid one of his doctors #125,000 a month. Look where it got him!! “Whatever the market will (can steal) bear”??? BULL!!!!

John I work for the President and I’m not as brainwashed as you. Major reforms are needed with malpractice suit limits, healthcare plan premiums and rates charged for services. Don’t take the best healthcare system in the world that has a few areas to fix and trade it in for a system that will be more expensive and with far inferior care. That’s like trading in your Escalade for a Prius because you think your saving the world.

Remember the Marlboro man??? He had to come down with canceR before he came to his senses. He, as with many right wing promoters, was paid for efforts to influence the public. Those right wingers who are trained to ridicule and argue ad absurdum, have time to deal with those issues AFTER THEY GET HURT!!! In the meantime, many don’t have time to wait for that experience. They’re already in trouble facing life’s struggles which many others, in time, will get to know. We need action on a health care plan NOW!!!!

Take no heed to their LIES. Contact your congress persons and let them know you want progress BEFORE they exit for vacation. In the time they are taking, that many more will have died, or lost their ability to cover themselves medically.

Frankly, for those who promote themselves as someone whom they are not, I find them despicable. LIARS who can’t be trusted in ANYTHING they. They, imnsvho, should be prosecuted for faking their identities. Screen names are one thing but identifying ones self as another person, under false pretenses. is criminal. CALL THE COPS!!!=:)

John Fisher you should not post when you are drinking. I don’t. So you think that this healthcare bill that is full of problems should be rushed through Congress before anyone has a chance to read or debate it? That’s crazy talk. Remember my friend government run healthcare will be the death of us all. Wait until you go to the emergency room at the hospital. You’ll be there for 8 hours like the DMV. Wait until you are waiting for approval for a procedure. You’ll die before you can get it approved like in Canada. Wait until the best and brightess college students go into computers or law instead of medicine because there is no money in it anymore. We’ll end up with a bunch of well meaning, C student doctors like Canada. On second thought why don’t you just move to Canada? You can have it right now!
Also John get off your high horse (like the Marlboro Man reference). You may not be posting as a well known figure but you are not using your real name.

  74. lord abott

Dispatchers ask skin color to increase odds of finding

    Perpetrators.

John Fisher, “Orientials” is a derogatory term for Asians.
Larry was right about one thing, moronic racists would emerge on his blog.

  75. John Fisher
    July 30th, 2009 | 4:22 pm

“Yellow bellied” contributors is another derogatory. It is a term which was widely used during/after WWII. It’s derivation did not have its roots in terms of race, yet it can be taken that way. In the case of this group of contributions, it seems an appropriate description of those who assume false identities to make their comments.

The intent was not to use the term “Oriental” in the manner you suggest. If, as you say, a dispatcher asks questions about a person to increase the odds of finding, wouldn’t it be more appropriate to ask the question “What is the color of these suspects”. It could be any number of shades. Why is it JUST “black” or “white” (paleskin)used in the questioning???=:)

  77. lord abott

Interesting take about shades of blackness. There was a time in the
And still exists in some quarters today, where blacks discriminated among each
Other based on the shades of their skin, social status was seperated by who was lighter
Or darker than a brown paper bag. I don’t think we want to go back to that.
There was also the concept of house negro and field negro and the lighter
House negros were afforded more privalege and were considered
Smarter. I don’t think we want to go back to that.

Obama looked silly today. That he brought Biden in to translate
To he and Gates what a white working class guy says
Made it even worse. He diminsihed himself and the
Presidency with a beer summit. Not to mention the health
And social consequesce of alcohol, our president should
Not be the poster boy for Bud Lite!

Perhaps wine would have been better. I don’t drink alcholic beverages but I understand there are some health benefits My mother, in her mid-nineties amazed doctors at her prescription which included a beer, or two, every day of her adult life!!!

“Shades” of discrimination exist to this very day. No matter what your color, YOU ALSO, are now part of those “Shades”

Re alchohol : More sophisticated elements now resort to the use of reservatol for benefits supposedly obtained by Les vin dujour promoters.

BY “WHITE WORKING CLASS GUY” you leave out the “working class” Harvard professor ‘and the “working class” President of the United States of America!! Why have you done that??

Why do you think that the President needs an interpreter when it comes to “white/black” issues??? He’s had the best of two worlds. He has elements of both pigments in his frame and was brought up by a white mother and white grandparents I prefer to use the term light skinned but I’m responding to your use of “white” in your diatribe.

We’ll see about that. He thinks he can become a homey with two guys from Cambridge but he’s mistaken. He’s a Chardonney guy drinking cheap beer. Oil and water. What a phony. Looks like the beers were a little flat yesterday at the rose garden detente. Skippy Gates had a warmed over Sam Adams. Officer Crowley had a Blue Moon (I think Blue Moon sponsors his softball team) I had the King of beers a Bud Lite. And My faithful sidekick Joe Biden was on the wagon this week so I served him up a delicious non alcoholic beer.
You’d think four guys could get together and have a pitcher of beer and discuss the problems of the day without every one selecting their own special brew. That’s the real problem with society today Too many choices. Too many choices of beers, too many choices of cars and too many choices in health care insurance. I took care of the car choices, I’m working on reducing the health care choices and soon I will have the beer choices down to Bud Lite and Miller Lite.
