Syria Caught In Nuke Trap - Jimmy Carter As Bigot - Advice to Barack, Hillary and John - And the great AIR ripoff at Gas Stations!
Got a lot on my mind.
If there is any doubt that Syria was trying to build nukes to terrorize the Middle East, that doubt has been erased by U.S. findings. This is not a fake WMD deal here. The U.S. and Israel have uncovered the mess. Syria is like Iran without fingerprints, a murderous regime that has survived by killing its enemies and growing and dealing drugs. We should warn Syria, as seriously as warn Iran, and let them both know, along with the puppet regime in North Korea, that freedom loving countries will stop he production of nuclear weapons.
That brings me to Jimmy Carter, again. The Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. calls President Carter a bigot. He is correct. Anyone meeting with Hamas gives a blessing to murder of innocents, and in turn, turns a deaf ear to the constant reality that as Israel gives up more land, Hamas terrorists keep sending missiles to kill civilians. The wanton killing of civilians, with no military strategy whatsoever, is what we call genocide. It is a pity that Mr. Carter is destroying his legacy.
TO CAMPAIGN 08….
Advice to Hillary: Keep Chelsea on the campaign trail. Restrict President Bill to written statements, approved by you, or Ed Rendell. The President’s suggestion that Barack was playing the race card was fascinating, especially when Mr. Clinton still denied saying it even after the tape was played showing that he did. This is not good. It is also not good for people to believe that your campaign can’t control Bill. Fix this. Also, keep up the belly laugh. It is funny and real. (How could anybody fake a laugh like that?)
Advice to Barack: Your attacks on John McCain are the best way to win the nomination. They are also performed with grace and class. Your respect for the Senator is obvious, and plays well. You can be a little more specific on your plans for Iran and Osama Bin Laden. Details are good, especially after Hillary threw in her nuke retaliation threat against Iran. As far as blue collar voters, they have voted for Repubicans for years. One good way to win them over is to down a couple of shots of bourbon in Indiana. That will play well in the booze belt in Kentucky WAIT–Somebody already did that…right?
Advice To John McCain - Come to Pennsylvania. People like people who come here. Bring Tom Ridge out more to speak for you. Although the extreeeeeem, and I mean extreeeeem right wing thinks Tom Ridge is a socialist, he is probably the most respected Republican outside of Arlen Specter in Pa. So, let Governor Ridge do his thing. But most of all, come to Pennsylvania.
Final item: AIR. Congress should pass a law forbidding service stations to charge money to use air pumps to fill up your tires. Isn’t it bad enough that we are paying $3.50 or more for a gallon of gas? Now we have to pay 50 cents more for AIR. Air should be free.!!!

With all due respect Larry, compressed air systems are maintenance nightmares. They always seem to get vandalized. One week there’s a nice new fitting with a pressure gauge built in, the next week the hose is cut. Tom Ridge is one of the few who got back out of the administration with his reputation nearly intact.
Hi Larry,
I gotta disagree with you on the ‘free air’ thing. The air itself is free - it is the delivery system that costs money, and as StevenMG indicated, a maintenance nightmare.
For those really that upset a being charged for air, invest in a $.99 tire pressure gauge (and actually USE it on a daily basis) and invest a few bucks in a portable air compressor that you can keep in the trunk and plug into the lighter port in the car so you can add air when you need to!
Excellent, well-rounded post today! Sound advice for all!
Thanks forhis vehicle! God Bless You and God Bless America!
larry;
My wife Joan and I moved to fl. a few years ago , We saw you on Chris Mathews program the other night,Good report and it was like being in phila again
I think it’s really helpful to call Carter a bigot. By trying to learn more about both sides of an issue, he obviously is betraying the fact that he is narrow minded and prejudiced. He should realize that no government that has killed civilians deserves to be heard.
On the other hand, maybe that’s why he didn’t listen to the Department of State. He was protesting the slaughter of thousands of Iraqi civilians by U.S. ordnance in our just war there. Maybe refusal to listen to governments that kill civilians is why he won’t let Israel tell him what to do. Honestly, Israel actively discriminates against a substantial portion of its population because of their heritage, and Jimmy Carter is the bigot? Amazing. Questioning Israeli policy doesn’t make a person an anti-semite or a bigot.
There is certainly some bigotry and race hatred going on here, but I don’t think Jimmy Carter is the perpetrator.
Finally, look at how much money the Israeli government makes by selling weapons systems and tell me that its hands are clean.
Dear Larry,
Air is free. Compressing isn’t. Get over it.
Oh, and 3.5 USD for a gallon of petrol is ridiculously cheap!
p.s. Larry, Hillary did not drink bourbon in Indiana. She drank Canadian whiskey that comes in a bottle in a velvet bag. It demonstrates her support for NAFTA, not for the salt of the earth folk of Kentucky, where bourbon is distilled. Her choice of Crown Royal (can you get a much more imperial name?) also demonstrates her belief that she and Bill are the king and queen of the United States. The media is sloppy and fails to pick up on details these days.
I’d advise Barack to stick to his message of hope and change and refuse to get down in the sleaze and mud with Hillary any more. Besides, she’ll self-destruct on her own. Her campaign just lied again: it was $5 million more in debt than it had falsely reported to the FEC.
Larry, if you don’t want small business owners to take your hard earned $.50 for a valuable service, then invest in a good bike pump and keep it in the trunk of your car. If you can find one for under $.50, please let us know.
If the bike pump won’t work for you, I’d suggest you use your influence with Senator Spector to suggest that he introduce a bill to enact the “Larry Kane Free Hot Air Act of 2008″ in the Senate.
Gas is $3.50 a gallon ? Glad I’m not driving much these days.Leo,I had a bottle of Victory Imperial Stout last night.Guess I’ll have to be more careful in the future.
Larry, this comparison between McCain and Barack has to end.
Ask yourself this question to find out who will be Prez in 2009:
If Usama Bin Ladin could vote in the US elections, who would Usama vote for?
Now, Larry, if it takes ya more than a split second to figure that one out, you got a problem!
And now, let’s talk Turkey (oops, I meant Syria)…Larry, have you ever thought to figure out how to put 2 and 2 together? OK, here’s some help for you: Prior to 2003, everyone (intell types) except Hans Blix was saying that Iraq scientists were working on nuke WMD. So, the US invades. OK, so after the invasion nobody can find any evidence of Iraqi nuke equipment and, nobody can find any Iraqi nuke scintitsts, therefore ya think that Iraq has no intentions to make nuke WMD. Syria borders Iraq. The border is considered a sieve for everyone from spies, black marketers to Al-Queda. Now, fast forward to last year. Syria’s NEWLY built nuke plant gets bombed by the Israelis, and nobody can still seem to find any of the Iraqi nuke scientists nor any nuke equipment in Iraq since 2003 and the whole deal is hushed up.
Larry, have I given you too many clues?
OK, Larry, times up! Here’s the Answers to the Quiz:
1.The Iraqi nuke program was moved, lock, stock and barrel, to Syria during the period leading up to the US invasion of Iraq.
2. The Iraqi nuke scientists, with help from the Syrians, then built the Syrian Nuke plant.
3. The Israelis knew this and bombed the plant because it is a threat to Iasrael.
Larry, any questions?
Oh, one more thing, Larry…this is important:
The movng of the nuke program from Iraq to Syria was captured on satellite media and confirmed by other sources and methods. The information, but not the details of how such information was collected, was given to the Israelis by the USA. The USA will not admit to such dealings publicly for fear that the US cillection assets might get compromised by reporters and people like Hans Blix.
Any further questions, Larry?
YBP, I’ll bet you had the bottle. I’ve had that stuff, and it’s good. However, it is a local U.S. brew and its name refers to a specific high-alcohol content stout style that used to be brewed in Imperial Russia. The high-alcohol content lowered its freezing point, which was a big concern up there. That name’s a far cry from a velvet bag, etc.
JJ nobody’s that efficient. The fact is that there was no WMD program. We’ve had the run of the country for years now, and if there were evidence, it would have turned up, including evidence that it had been relocated. If we had the sattelite imagery all along, you can be sure that this most political of all administrations would have used it that way years before the Isrealis finally destroyed it. As that debriefer said, Sadam was just bluffing. He had learned the lesson Castro and Qaddafi learned: If you just stick to killing your own people, that ok by us. Unfortunately for him (and us) he played a little too close to the fence.
Finally, just say no to the gas tax holiday. Demand will keep the price from going down the full amount of the gas tax, and since the profits aren’t taxed, we will have little to show for it. Then when the holiday is over, the price will spike. Each year I hear stories of people who sy they have to cancel their vacations because of the price of gas. Don’t believe them. If you drove 1000 miles @20miles/gallon, that’s only $50, if the price shot up by $1/gallon. If fifty bucks is the go/no go cushion for your trip, you shouldn’t be going anyway. High gas prices are tough, but in the long run, try to remember the garbage the auto companies were producing in the late seventies. High gas prices drove consumers to the competition which forced tha Big Three to get their ct together.
Larry, if you can’t afford to use a gas station compressor to fill up the air in your tires, go buy a new car. Tires will be full of “free” air.
Now that candidates have left Pennsylvania, fresh air should return to the state. HRC and BO sucked all the life and air out of the state for 6 weeks.
How do you know that there were no WMD in Iraq? How can you be sure they weren’t transported to Syria or buried under sand before US troops reached them? A little presumptuous on your part Larry.
I laughed. But until Larry’s law is passed, you might not be able to afford to fill your tires with air. That fifty cents is a KILLER!
Leo-You remain alphabet challenged but I am impressed with your seeming knowledge of the craft brewing industry.
What is this “puppet regime” you speak of in North Korea? Whose hand is in the puppet? Are you basing this on having seen the puppet movie, Team America?
I don’t agree that people here like people who come here. When J.D. Drew came to the ballpark, it didn’t seem to me that people here were liking him. Also, you claim Ridge is the most popular Republican “outside” of Specter; I wonder what you know about Republicans who are inside Specter. How did they get there? Is he a cannibal? Or is it Larry Craig?
Your ideas about air are interesting. How do I subscribe to your newsletter?
YBP, keep supporting McCain and his ethanol proposals and there will be no more craft brewing industry becuase there will be no hops. Victory I.S. uses a lot of hops. McCain will make it go bye bye.
No,no,no.There’s already a hop shortage so you won’t be able to blame him.And he wasn’t on the grassy knoll,he didn’t set fire to the Forrestal nor did he help plan Booth’s escape.
Right. There is a shortage. As I said, he’s the one that will make it all go away. He wasn’t on the grassy knoll, but he was in a prison in Vietnam being programmed by his captors, just as L.H. Oswald was programmed in Soviet Russia before him. He also sought to add flouride to ice cream. Little children’s ice cream. How’s that for a monstrous post-war Commie conspiracy? It’s why I only drink grain alcohol and rain water.
Larry, I suppose you’d be in favor of severing all diplomatic ties with mainland China. Anyone meeting with China gives a blessing to murder of innocents, and in turn, turns a deaf ear to the constant reality that Tibet has given up its land, but China keeps repressing and killing civilians, with no military strategy whatsoever. That’s what we call genocide. Or is it enlightened to support massive trade with China? Do you own any products manufactured in China? Are you supporting the genocide? I’d be willing to bet you are, without even giving a thought to it. That’s what I’d call bigotry.
Larry, you think Jimmy Carter is destroying his legacy? What leagacy? One of economic malaise from his policies in the 1970s? Only a true blue Democrat like yourself could even imagine that Jimmy Carter even had a legacy at any pont in time after 1980.
As far as free air, I like getting free air too Larry, but as a liberal Democrat you probably don’t understand the economics of a gas station. They make a few cents spread on the gas they sell, and as the price of gas goes up and people conserve they sell fewer gallons. So to make an issue about them charging $.50 for air is really unfair and sadly has led some to charge you with being a penny piching Jew. A charge I think is unfair. What I have done is buy an air compressor at Sears and its great for cars and bikes, and over time you will earn baack its value.
Another good idea to save money: I bought an electic shaver for my son 10 years ago and have been cutting his hair at least five times a year, that $25 shaver has saved me over $1,500, plus I’ve finally gotten good at it, and it saves time taking him to salon. I doubt you ever cut your kids hair to save money ,but that would have been more savings than trying to save a couple quarters on air from immigrants trying to make a few cents of spread selling you gas. Why not be outraged about the fact that each gallon of gas carries over $.50 tax?
I’d hate to ask George Jr. how long it took you to get good at it!
Steve said:
“We’ve had the run of the country for years now, and if there were evidence, it would have turned up, including evidence that it had been relocated.”
Uh…Steve…how about a NEWLY built nuke plant (it takes a few years to build one, subtract 2007 from 2003 and ya got 4 years!)…and where’s Waldo? Yeah, all those nuke scientists and researchers who are recorded as graduating from US Universites…where, oh where are they? When my kid eats his dinner I say: “All gone!” I guess that’s what happened to all that equipment from the baby-milk factory, too!
SteveMG, he was too young to notice when I was learning to cut his hair- luckily! Your point about gas prices is true, all of these over sized trucks and SUVs are the result of cheap gas. Now we’re burning up grain to try to dampen gas prices, causing run away food inflation. People around the world starve and Americans burn food to drive a vehicle that gets less than 20mpg, it’s really insane. Higher prices will result in better conservation and more fuel efficient cars.
YAP, could Leo be inferring that the B is for butt?
Government encouraged high gas prices are the only way to force Detroit to built and the American consumer to buy more fuel efficient vehicles. Why else would you buy a smaller car if you had the choice?
George,
How about leaving the irrelevant Jewish references outside.
OOOJ-I really don’t know,he just won’t answer the question.If you’re right,that’s his fantasy not mine.
OOOJ, I could be implying that. You would be inferring the meaning. No comment on your inference. That’s your fantasy, not YBP’s.
OOOJ-I guess I’ll have to reread Ulysses.Gotta be a hidden meaning, one which our friend is so carefully guarding.
OK Jersey Joe so now the Iraqis continued to build their reactor in Syria even after Hussein was kicked out, and they held together their money and their infrastructure and their operational security and even got some North Korean lookalikes to pose for pictures. Is that where you’re trying to go?
Formerly Jim, how about Larry leave irrelevant anti-semitic references outside?
YAP, it will take you a couple weeks to re-read Ulysses. The Democratic nominee may be decided by then and/or Larry may have a new blog posted by then. Better chance of the former.
LB, just making an observation, not a fantasy on my part. No semantics involved in that interpretation. Aren’t you happy that someone cracked your code, no pun intended?
SteveMG said: OK Jersey Joe so now the Iraqis continued to build their reactor in Syria even after Hussein was kicked out, and they held together their money and their infrastructure and their operational security and even got some North Korean lookalikes to pose for pictures. Is that where you’re trying to go?”
Yep…keep in mind that the Iraqi Waldos (nuke scientists, thousands of them trained right here in the good ole USA are now nowhere to be found!)…and I am not counting the thousands more trained in Korea and the former USSR.
Yep, knowing the USA would invade Iraq months before it happened, Syria welcomed the Iraqi scientists with open arms through the porous border kinda like the USA welcomed Werner Von Braun after WWII. They are all Muslims, after all, no? And yes, Syria got help from the PROK, too…that’s a no brainer given how N Korea is acting regarding nuke capable rockets, weapons and reactors. The PROK is very, very poor…there are no longer any dogs in N Korean, all having been eaten…so the Syrians wave a few greenbacks at N Korea and they get action, to incude N Korean scientists to assist Iraqi Waldos!
Also, check back and ask yourself why large amounts of unusually high radiation levels were found in hundreds of European scrap yards and recycling points right after the US invaded Iraq? The Euros still are trying to figure out where all the radiation came from. Here’s a clue: When the Waldos had many months time to dismantle and move the baby-milk factories, all the left over parts and scrap and debris was hauled off to European scrap yards (and other scrap yards throughout the world) through Turkey and by ships owned by unscrupulous folks who just wanted to make a buck. They saw nothing, heard nothing, asked nothing and said nothing, and are called war-profiteers.
The money? How about the billions that Iraq had from oil for food? Yes, USA troops found many millions, the tip of the iceberg and things are hushed up, but for different reasons than you think. Have you ever wondered why 3$Bill pardoned a guy named Marc Rich, who is living in Switzerland and doesn’t dare to travel to the USA, even with Clinton’s pardon in his pocket? Yep, that was the 1990s when the Food for Oil thing was the top money make for folks like Rich (and governments like France!)…all hushed up!
And, of course, the Syrians have plenty of oil money, too…since Hurricane Katrina they are getting more and more cash for oil…have you tried figuring out where most of the $3.50 plus goes when you fill up your tank? The BOCs say, in front of Congress, that they aren’t getting the 400% profits…of course not, it is going to OPEC!
Here’s a question for you:
Why would the Israelis (as smart and efficient on intell matters as they are) go to the trouble of wiping out what Syria calls “an abandoned military base”? Yep, abandoned mil base alright, fairly close to the Iraqi border, until it became a threat as the site of Syria’s nuke plant!
BTW, did not the Israeli’s wipe out a nuke plant in Iraq in 1980, the same way?
…and why all the huss-hush?
Hello Larry, your advice on Bill Clinton will work until the general election then Hillary should let him out of the cage to go after the rightwingers.
obama should keep michelle off the trail she comes off as mad and mean and blue collar middle class americans (like myself) are not buying it,also keeping the rev wright off the campaign trail can’t hurt, and flipping waffles with bob casey jr is just another john kerry moment.
while the diehard bush/chaney/rove/rumsfield supporters like rick and 3×0jim get off on bashing the Clinton’s but who cares,b/c/r/r have set the country back fifty years.
the democratic party should wake up and smell the Clinton coffee before it is too late,we need strong/tough/smart leadership to try to clean up this huge mess.
Thanks Larry and GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Jersey Joe-Right on.It’s maddening how little attention that Israeli strike received. The fly by over Bashar al Asad’s house prior to the raid was played up for a hot minute & that was it.
Bill Clinton set the country back 20 years militarily and economically.
Hillary is the mean and mad woman, not Michelle Obama.
Michelle Obama is mad about continued attacks on her husband and race card being clandestinely played.
The Clinton coffee still has a stench from the 90’s.
FREE AIR, Wawa gas stations in the Philadelphia suburbs offer free air and the lowest gas prices available. Larry, start getting your gas and air at Wawa, the savings is so great its worth a little extra drive ( you probably don’t use much gas because of your reliance on Septa to get around the city). If no Wawa nearby, try Lukoil stations, the machines say $.50, but some will turn it on for free from inside if you bought gas, just try asking, tell them George sent you!
That’s probably because you’re a bigot, JR. Michelle Obama grew up in a lower middle class household and achieved the American dream of obtaining an excellent education and employment through hard work and diligence. Hillary is the upper middle class daughter of a textile mill owner. (I know because John Edwards father worked in the mill.) Hillary was also a Republican and worked on Goldwater’s campaign, and she went to college on the backs of lower middle class factory workers. It’s insulting that she pretends to be some hardscrabble blue collar hero. She’s as privileged as they come. I took my kids to see Michelle Obama at Haverford College. I can tell you that she’s the only intelligent, articulate, and honest woman involved in the race.
YAP: Interestingly, just about the same time Jersey Joe is making these so called outrageous claims of Where’s Waldo (Iraqi nuke scintists), Syria is giving back tons of purloined artifacts to Iraq…so, for those of you who need a “cluepon”…if the artifacts made their way to Syria undetected, then so goes the Waldos and their nuke equipment!
Actually I believe Jimmy Carter is cementing his legacy as a brave and just statesman.
He is the only American leader to actually practice diplomacy in the Middle East since the establishment of the state of Israel. Our current administration’s ignorant approach to Mid-East diplomacy has led to an unstable and more dangerous world for both America and Israel.
Carter is not a bigot and is not denying Israel’s right to exist, as a homeland for the Jewish people. In fact the first tenant of his Palestine Peace solution is, “Security for Israel”. Remember Larry, he successfully brought Anwar Sadat and the Irgun/Stern Gang terrorist Menachem Begin together with a treaty that still stands. Diplomacy is difficult and not always pretty, but the results are what matter and Jimmy Carter is the only president to get positive results since the 1967 Six Day War.
The “we don’t negotiate with terrorists” attitude is a boorish, racist attitude propagated by the current administration and the hawks at the Republican think tank Project for the New American Century and the opposite of diplomacy. The right to name who is a freedom fighter and who is a terrorist lies in the hands of the powerful.
Jimmy Carter is a great American who should be lauded for his efforts on behalf of his nation, rather than labeled a bigot by a lazy local newsman.
