The Larry Kane Report

The story was buried in the headlines yesterday, but make a note: it could become a major story. In fact, the new report comes exactly three months after crusading prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald complained of missing White House emails in the Libby-CIA leak investigation.

This time, the House Oversight Committee reports that the emails of 88 White House staffers on a Republican National Commitee email account, are missing. These are emails that could have an impact on two investigations: the probe of the firing of U.S. Attorneys , and the Congressional investigation of overcharges by a Halliburton subsidiary in the Iraq war.

Will they be found? That’s doubtful but if the House committee finds any evidence of coverup, the material will be turned over to federal prosecutors.
