In regards to the Smerconish column. First off I have been a listener of his for years even at the "other station” I only wish that he would have interviewed Jack Lucas earlier, or he might have considered having his buddy Rick Santorum really listen to podcast, or read the article, or perhaps we should automatically email it to him when he get's on his soap box exclaiming that there was a wit of difference between Santorum or Casey. Perhaps this article should be brought up during his weekly chats with Glenn Beck, or when he guest hosts on O’Reilly
Larry, it should be no surprise that the Surge is not working. The only part of the plan that seems to have taken hold is the increase death counts of our troops. The Iraqi Congress doesn’t have the true incentive to negotiate. Our troops are not dying in vein. That is a straw horse. But our troops should not be expendable just because we have a President, that has gone against all advice, and all that it seems simply more and more concerned about his legacy, and the continued support of his buddies (sans Smerconish) spewing outlandish rhetoric. Iraq is now not only dangerous to America, but it has created more instability in the fractious Middle East.
