One More Note on Scott Graham (See Below)
Outside of Harry, no one has ever called a homerun better than Scott. Decades ago, Bill Campbell was the champ of homerun calling. Then came Harry.
Graham had turned descriptions of home runs into an art form.
Why am I pounding on this subject? I’ll tell you why. Because Philadelphians appreciate personalities who keep them company on-air. All the focus groups in the world, and all the research, and all the second guessing, can never compete with the fan’s assessment. And the last time I looked, it was the fans who watch and listen to baseball. It is the fans who pay the bill.

It is shocking to see him released. I got the impression he was a loyal soldier, something the Phils value.
He was.
You’ll be hearing from him.
I think he will be back.. eventually.
Larry
Larry,
I could not agree more with your comments. Scott did a fine job and was a fan favorite. The Phillies made one big boo boo. I just wonder if this move had to do with economics !!!
SCOTT GRAHAM WILL BE JUST FINE. BUT WILL THERE BE EXCITEMENT IN THE BROADCAST BOOTH?
I HOPE SO
LARRY
Hey Larry,
I’ve been a Phils fan since Carlton, Bowa & Schmidt were playing. I live in Nevada & have been listening to almost every Phils game on the web for the last 5-6 years. Scott Graham & the rest of the Phils broadcast team were the best that I’ve ever heard. And Scott was by far the best of the Phils team of broadcasters, sorry Harry. I can’t believe that they let him go. The Phils management seems to be shooting themselves in the foot a lot lately. HE WILL BE MISSED!! And I’m sorry Sarge was a great player, but is seriously lacking in the broadcaster dept. I will get a lot less enjoyment on Phils broadcasts.
Scott will surface and in a big way.
